Christmas bloopers

Chris gave us our first Christmas laugh this year. After the breakfast dishes were cleaned on Christmas eve morning, we sat down to open a round of gifts. Sarah was opening her gift from Erika. Out of the gift bag, she pulled out silver and charcoal eye shadow. Chris helpfully coughed out the word "More!". Bruce, Sarah and I didn't hear that quite so clearly and thought he was making commentary on the eyeshadow and what Sarah might look like wearing it. After the shocked silence, and the "WHAT did you say?" with poor Chris' innocent look we realized our mistake and burst out laughing. So of course, anytime there was an opportunity to indicate multiple objects, we all had to cough out "More!"

I made one poor gift purchase for Bruce this year. I recently learned that he has no clothes to go to the gym with so after seeing athletic gear on sale, I bought Bruce a couple pairs of shorts and a shirt. I remember thinking that the shorts all seemed a bit long in the inseam. I brushed that off as my imagination: "Bruce is tall and has long legs so I'm sure they'll be fine". I seriously thought I was going piss my pants as Bruce paraded around in the shorts pulled on over his jeans. They reached his knees and looked like a skort. With Chris and Sarah saying, "The length is fine dad!" (yeah, maybe for a fourteen year old), Bruce said "No wait! The length will be right if I pull the waistband up to my armpits!". I really lost it at this point and started hyperventilating. When I collected myself I went and found the receipt.

And this one... well, Bruce and I didn't realize how true to life the details on these model planes could be. (Please, don't tell Chris, he hasn't noticed yet and will probably be mortified.)

WOW good catch on the "plain" misspelling. It happens to all of us, well mostly Meshell,( Michele, Michelle, Michaele and Alex( Alec) and Shawn or is that Sean???

Sarah disregard whatever it was that Meshell was trying to put into a grammatic sentence...and your grades will improve greatly...

PS spell check doesn't help with grammar....

Actually it usuallly does- see, in this case, had it said I spelled plane as plain, it would have also notified me of improper grammer =D
And I was drugged, ok? Lol

I would like to add- that drawing doesn't display its, er, REALISIM until you click on it to bring it up in size, which was mentioned to me, and then I proceeded to do that, resulting in hysterical laughter for several minutes and chris's embarressment- no I DIDN'T show him the updated version, so resy easy dad and sharon =p his innocence hasn't been shattered....yet
