In our forays thru the kitchen store, I found my dream toaster a few months ago. Hard to believe a toaster can get you excited but this thing was beautiful. Heavy (die cast) with LED lit buttons and cool little features. Check it out here (yes, a u-tube video of a toaster). I admired it each time I went into the store. About a month ago, while checking out a pan sale, we somehow managed to get the saleswoman to discount the entire purchase, including the toaster. It was mine! I oooohed and aaahed over this toaster each time I used it. It was even cooler in use than displayed. I was a happy toaster.
I've discovered just one little problem with this beautiful little toaster. Instead of popping up and scaring the crap out of you when the toast is done, it slowly brings toast up and a lovely tone sounds. I like this feature. Unfortunately, the tone sounds very much like the tone from Lucky's training collar. Now every time the toast come up and the tone sounds, Lucky cowers by the couch, thinking she's done something wrong. The toaster is terrorizing our dog.

Did he get rid of the "torture toaster" before you two met? Tom and I (admittedly easily amused at times) laughed at that thing for one full morning.
No, he still had it. I laughed at it every time he used it.And we still have it. It's in storage. I will admit it did a good job toasting.
What no juicer!!! You need a hobby or something else to excite you...what does Elmer think about his replacement? Getting all hot and bothered over a toaster...that's just not right..
It did a GREAT job of toasting...and was entertaining all at the same time. Win/win. :-)
