Christmas 2009

This year we were lucky to have some grandparents with us during the holidays. Walt and Karen took a road trip to celebrated their 50th (!!!) wedding anniversary and ended their trip in Oregon.

Unlike last year, we didn't get to milk the gift giving and get the kitchen cleaned for several days :( This also meant we needed to unpack and hook up the family gift (a Wii) to make sure it was all ready to go for Christmas day. Karen and Walt helped by testing it out.

When the kids arrived Christmas morning, we finished decorating the tree. Grandma Weaver came to the rescue and made our star after we couldn't find it. After preparing some snacks to munch on, we got on with the opening of presents.

The dogs find this bit of the holiday tedious and strange.

The rest of the vacation we played games and worked on our puzzle. We all thought it was particularly tricky but we got in done in about a week. Erika practiced origami tho I'm not sure who the old woman that tried to help her was. Bruce spend lots of time in the kitchen, with Walt supervising :).

We all had fun and hope wish you all the best in the New Year!!
