This was our first Christmas together as an extended family. We arrived at the house from picking all the kids up at about 10:30. Present opening was delayed until pictures of kids by tree were taken and Bruce and I had our caffeine fix. The opening took about 2 hours (there were a lot of presents). The final two gifts were the family gifts, both xbox games (we got Dance Dance Revolution and Uncle Tom and Aunt Jen got us Guitar Hero II). As you can imagine, much of the rest of the Christmas break was spent with the Xbox 360 running. We did take time to go to the pool nearly every day and to run up to Powell's to spend gift certificates on books.
To add to the special day, we had snow on Christmas! It was awesome. Chris and Sasha went outside to catch snowflakes with their tongue and to make a mini-snowman, complete with carrot nose.
