Sarah, the Cursed One

Sarah believes she is cursed. On New Year's Eve, she invited several friends over for a party. On New Year's Eve day, the clan went swimming. On our way into the pool Sarah, being the polite young lady she is, held open the door for some people on their way out. Sarah, also being the not-always-so graceful young lady, opened the door up over her foot and practically tore her big toenail off. She left the pool with her big toe wrapped up in a bandage. "I'm cursed!" she said. "I always hurt myself before parties!" she cried. She gamely limped and gimped her way thru the party, I think even managing to play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) in her injured state.

Sarah and Chris had school on the second, so they left us on the evening of New Year's Day. I sent Sarah an email the next morning inquiring about her toe. Here is her response:

My toe's better, not at all painful, suprisingly enough. I can wiggle it from side to side (the nail) and lift it up about a quarter of an inch. Not suprisingly, it bleeds when I do this. But it still doesn’t hurt, so I do it anyway, cuz it looks so weird. The whole thing is blue and it bleeds from all sides, but mainly the bottem and the top. There is no sign of the new nail that is supposedly growning underneath but whatever. Im sure it will grow in EVENTUALLY.(Because my daddy said it would, and my daddy is brilliant, never wrong, and perfectly knowlagable in every imaginable way.) The slash across the middle is now a clear bump, its really odd. BUt anywayz, I can now wear tennis shoes, and it doesn’t hurt so bad and it bleeds only a little bit! Yay!

Lolz, my first day back was a nightmare- I literally fell asleep in one of my classes (I can feel your glare through the computer, stoppit, I couldn’t help it, it was sin, cos, and tan symbols on the calculater)
Other then that, awesome time- just very tired, and people telling me I look different; as a result, I have been scrutinizing myself in the mirror for the past half hour.
I just got back from seeing the movie PS I love you- I cried half tha time, I was so embaressed. It is a very good movie though- it was happy, sad and lovely. I adored it and am officially asking for it for my b-day =)

Love you all!

In case you missed it, note the birthday gift plug (I told Sarah I'd post her response on blog - any influence from that knowledge? Hmm). LOL
