With all the kiddies gone this weekend, Bruce and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary a bit early by having a surfing weekend at the coast. We surfed about 6 hours Saturday, came back to Portland, went back Sunday afternoon, surfed about 3 more hours, spent the night and did a dawn patrol (in the water by 6 am) this morning. Today we had the best waves we've had in a while, totally glassy water and it was the neatest thing to watch the sunrise from the water. We got 2 hours of surfing in and then went to breakfast. We both wanted to surf again but our shoulders were so exhausted from paddling all weekend we couldn't. Instead we had a leisurely drive home and Bruce grilled an awesome Nebraska steak for dinner. Anniversary weekend

What, no toe rings.....
Early, late, it all averages out. Besides, every day's an anniversary :)
Toe rings rip up the surf booties so I take them off when I'm surfing.
